Moore To See Photography Expeditions!

We have exciting news!!

There is so much more to see in Virginia Beach than just the beach! We will take you.

Very soon - by the end of June if all goes as planned - we will be offering photography expeditions by boat on the waters of Back Bay, VA, Knott's Island Bay, NC, and the North Landing River, VA - all part of what Col William Byrd called the Green Sea in 1728. Tours will be for 3-3.5 hours, twice daily.

We will also offer overnight stays at False Cape State Park. The lodge sleeps 26 people and is situated right on Back Bay with incredible views all around and magnificent sunsets over the water - perfect for photographers and nature lovers! Sunrise pictures? A short walk through the maritime forest and over the dunes to the Atlantic Ocean will put you on the beach as it should be - empty and natural - all to yourself.

More information on these trips will be forthcoming! It's almost too good to be true!

Back Bay and the surrounding waters, creeks, and bays are alive with all manner of birds, mammals, insects, reptiles, and plant life! And, being on the Atlantic Flyway, the bird species change seasonally as they migrate from north to south and back again! We can also take you to a rookery where there are Ibises, Cormorants, Great Blue Herons, Blue Herons, and Great Egrets by the dozens!

Animals we often encounter: Osprey, Bald Eagles, Ibis, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Waterfowl (Ducks, Geese), Wild Horses, KingFisher, Cormorant, Nutria, Muscrat, Northern Water Snake, Cottonmouth, Northern Harrier.

Animals we may see: Bobcat, Bear, Turkey, Owl, Whitetail Deer, Wild Hog, Mink, Beaver, Coyote, River Otter.

The views and peacefulness on Back Bay alone are worth the trip.

Look for more details very soon.
